04Who we share it with

  • Your driver or rider: during a trip a rider sees the driver's first name, vehicle, plate and live location; a driver sees the rider's first name, pickup, destination and the Ride Profile details needed for the trip. A female driver preference is used before a driver is assigned and is not shown to the driver as a reason.
  • Service providers acting on our instructions: payments (Stripe), maps and routing (Google Maps), cloud hosting (Vercel, Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare), messaging and email delivery.
  • Authorities when the law requires it, for example the police, the tax authority (Belastingdienst) or the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT).
  • Emergency services if there is a serious risk to someone's safety.
  • A buyer or successor if Fairvo is reorganised or sold, under the same protections.

07Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of your data (access) and receive it in a portable format;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • delete your data;
  • restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interest;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.

Email privacy@fairvo-app.com. We reply within one month. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

08Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app: riders open Profile, drivers open Account, then choose Delete account. You can also email support@fairvo-app.com.

We delete or anonymise your personal data, except records we must keep by law (such as invoices) and data needed for an open dispute, safety case or unpaid balance. Those are kept only for the periods above.

Drivers: deleting your account does not cancel obligations already incurred, such as a membership fee for the current month.

09Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and logging of staff access to sensitive data such as verification documents. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects you we will notify you and the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens where the law requires it.

10Children

Fairvo accounts are for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

11Changes

We may update this policy. For material changes we notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. The date at the top shows the current version.
