01Our relationship
These terms are between you and Fairvo (KvK 92040438). Fairvo provides a platform that connects you with riders.
- You are an independent entrepreneur, or you drive under the licence of a fleet partner. You are not an employee of Fairvo.
- You decide when and whether you go online, and which ride requests you accept.
- You provide the transport to the rider. Fairvo arranges the booking and collects the fare on your behalf.
02Requirements to drive
To be approved and stay active you must hold, and keep valid:
- a valid driving licence (category B);
- a valid chauffeurskaart issued by Kiwa Register (this requires the CBR taxi driver diploma, a VOG and a medical declaration);
- a vergunning voor taxivervoer (taxi operator licence) from Kiwa Register in your own name, or proof that you drive under a fleet partner's licence;
- KvK registration, if you operate as an entrepreneur;
- a taxi vehicle with blue licence plates and a valid taxi inspection;
- valid motor insurance (WA) covering paid passenger transport.
You must also meet any local rules where you drive, including emission zones. Tell us within 48 hours if any document expires, is suspended or is withdrawn. You may not accept rides while a requirement is not met.
03Membership and fees
- Fairvo charges drivers a fixed monthly membership fee. There is no platform commission per completed ride on any plan.
- Plans, prices and included rides are shown in the app before you subscribe. A plan activates with your first completed ride of the calendar month. If you complete no rides in a month, you pay nothing for that month.
- If you reach your plan's ride limit, Fairvo will not block a ride. The app warns you before an upgrade and you pay only the difference.
- You can downgrade or cancel at any time. Downgrades and cancellations take effect from the next month.
- Any launch or Founding Driver programme has its own conditions, shown in the app when you join.
- The rider service fee is paid by the rider to Fairvo and is never taken from your fare.
- If a rider cancels after you arrive or is a no-show, the cancellation fee goes to you.
What "0% commission" means: Fairvo deducts no percentage or fixed amount from the fare of a completed ride. Your membership fee, your own costs, taxes and payment of any amounts you owe Fairvo are separate.
04Fares and payouts
- The fare is a fixed price shown to the rider and agreed before the ride starts.
- Fairvo collects the fare and tips from the rider on your behalf and pays them out to your IBAN on the schedule shown in the app.
- Fairvo may set off unpaid membership fees or amounts you owe against payouts, and will show this on your statement.
- Each ride receipt shows the details Dutch law requires, including your taxi licence number.
- You are responsible for your own income tax and VAT. Fairvo may report payout data to the Belastingdienst where the law requires it.
05Service standards
- Drive safely and obey traffic law. Never use your phone while driving except hands-free.
- Only accept rides you will complete. Do not ask riders to cancel or to pay outside the app.
- If the rider uses a pickup PIN, check it before starting the trip.
- Show your chauffeurskaart so the rider can see it, as Dutch law requires.
- Before marking a no-show, wait the free 5 minutes and follow the steps in the app.
- Treat every rider with respect. Discrimination, harassment and refusing assistance dogs are not allowed.
- Keep your vehicle clean, safe and matching the details in your profile. Only the approved driver may drive under your account.
- Use rider information only to complete the trip. Do not contact riders after a trip except to return a lost item through Fairvo.
06Matching and preferences
Fairvo offers requests based on distance, availability and rider preferences. Some rides are offered first to drivers who match a rider's preference, for example a women-preferred ride. You only see that a ride is eligible, never sensitive details about the rider. Declining requests does not lead to deactivation, but low completion of accepted rides may be reviewed.
07Ratings and safety reviews
Riders can rate trips and submit private safety check-ins. These are reviewed by people at Fairvo, not acted on automatically. If a concern could affect your account, we tell you what it is about and give you the chance to respond, unless that would put someone at risk.
08Suspension and deactivation
We may suspend or deactivate your account if a requirement is no longer met, for fraud, for serious or repeated breaches of these terms, or for a safety risk. Except where immediate action is needed, we give you notice and the reason, and you can ask for a review by a person at drivers@fairvo-app.com.
You can stop at any time by cancelling your membership and deleting your account in the app under Account.
09Insurance and liability
- You are responsible for the transport, your vehicle and your insurance.
- You indemnify Fairvo for claims caused by your breach of law or of these terms.
- Fairvo is liable for damage caused by its own intent or gross negligence and as mandatory law requires; otherwise its liability is limited to the membership fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
10Your data
How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy and, for documents, the Driver Consent page.
11Changes and governing law
We give at least 30 days' notice of material changes to these terms or to plan prices. You may cancel before they apply. Dutch law governs these terms. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands.
